As a Clubhouse Coordinator, reporting to the Customer Experience Supervisor, your primary function involves onsite supervision of daily clubhouse operations for one or two golf course locations with likelihood of rotating on a yearly basis to any of the five City Golf Course facilities. Primary duties include:
Train and supervise Golf Course Attendant II's and Code 81 employees, as well as provide day to day direction to volunteers, for the front-line delivery of golf products, services and customer experience.
Complete clubhouse paperwork and some light manual work including accepting orders and stocking while ensuring a safe work environment.
Perform golf starter functions including traffic and crowd control, enforce facility regulations, coordinate tee times, dispense concession items, rent equipment, customer complaints and inquiries. Monitor bookings (tournaments, leagues, schools) reporting results to the Bookings Services Coordinator.
Collect and secure revenue derived from admissions, rentals, concession and driving range sales in preparation to respond to financial audits (corporate cash control & Payment Card Industry).
Maintain records of sales including breakdowns for all areas of revenue generation.
Monitor trends and maximize revenue by recommending service improvements.
Order clubhouse supplies and reconcile/maintain inventory records. Monitor trends and maximize revenue by recommending service improvements to the Customer Experience Supervisor and Senior Coordinator.
Investigate and resolve complaints and inquiries from the public, staff and Golf Course/Sport Development Management.
General security of the work area, records management and adherence to required City, Provincial and Federal policies.
Maintain and arrange for repair of clubhouse equipment, clubhouse cleanliness and janitorial duties.
Assist with staff scheduling using appropriate software and assign/delegate work to staff to ensure an efficiently run operation which may include filling unplanned point of sale vacancies.
A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g GED) and a Concession Manager Certification plus a minimum of 3 years experience in golf, sport or recreations operations including retail management and supervison; OR
1 year certificate (for example: business administration) and no experience.
Experience with Point of Sale management and Tee Sheet booking system are required.
An intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and have no current suspensions or charges pending and the use of a personal vehicle will be required.
Strong golf related background and post-secondary education in the area of business administration or golf course management will be considered an asset.
