The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.
Our mill in Trenton, Ontario, located on the Trent River, boasts a 90 year history. If you are seeking an opportunity to advance your career in the maintenance field, you are willing to learn and develop your maintenance and leadership skills, we are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Planner. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will provide technical planning and scheduling assistance to the maintenance team and facilitate continuous improvement in our processes.
Coordinates weekly and shutdown maintenance planning and scheduling of reactive and preventive work
In collaboration with end users, ensures availability of equipment and facilities for the execution of reactive and preventive maintenance work
Leads the work order process from initiation to close
Prepares parts lists, SOP's and work order kits for planned jobs

Core competencies defined for this job
Planning and organizing
Post secondary education in a Mechanical Techniques, Mechanical Technician or related program
Manufacturing and planning experience is an asset
Good understanding of maintenance and reliability processes and tools
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Available to work overtime as required
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of SAP and CMMS is an asset
