As the product expert on the marketing team, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our market, competitors and our products and translate that insight into impactful messaging, product promotion and enablement materials.
You’ll be defining our market position within the context of our overall product strategy and then executing that strategy throughout the organization. This includes creating a strong relationship with the sales and customer success teams to inform our strategic positioning to our customers, prospects, influencers, and partners.
Your key objectives will be bringing PatSnap to market and driving adoption through providing sales team with the knowledge and tools to be successful, working with the product team to manage the communication and rollout of product releases, working with Customer Success on positioning for customer marketing, and be the voice of the customer within PatSnap.
What can I expect to do?
Get to know our products inside out. You’ll deeply understand how PatSnap uniquely addresses customer needs and express that value in compelling messaging and positioning for external and internal audiences.
Understand the competitive landscape, their strengths and weaknesses, products inside-out, so that you can effectively position PatSnap products in the market as well as enable customer-facing teams with the right knowledge on our unique differentiators.
Acquire deep market and customer knowledge. You’ll lead the execution of market research, customer interviews and glean nuanced market insights that will help inform our roadmaps, hone our messaging, pricing, and also create buyer persona, segmentation analysis, more.
Drive GTM strategy including positioning for external communication around the new product releases, as well as the internal enablement efforts that will arm customer-facing teams with the right collateral, tools and training they need to communicate the value proposition, and thus increase demand and accelerate pipeline.
What would make me successful in this role?
You have 4-5 years experience in marketing, management consulting, market research, brand management, customer management with 2-3 years of experience in product marketing.
You are forward-thinking: you have a constant pulse on the market and can effectively and proactively communicate to different stakeholders.
You have strong business acumen and analytical skills: you know how to research and develop a deep understanding of market segments, their challenges, and how our products uniquely address their needs. You also can effectively validate product-market fit for new product concepts.
You are collaborative: you are at ease working with Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing stakeholders on a regular basis both to keep an ear to the ground and to position our products effectively.
You are a strong communicator: you are an effective writer and presenter and can tailor your communication style and content to the audience.
You possess a unique combined skilled set of strategic thinking and tactical execution in order to design, build, and implement various initiatives.
