The Role:

Working from their office in Williams Lake, you will initially be immersed in learning about building materials distribution and shipping processes while also identifying and building relationships with a wide network of prospects in the industry. Eventually, you will be responsible and held accountable for maintaining a strong company reputation and achieving targets and objectives. You will be known as an honest, attentive and effective negotiator. You will have the ability to not only understand your clients’ needs but to anticipate them.

Once you are well established in your role, you will be responsible for managing business development alongside current relationships and accounts.

Daily Work includes:

  • Working closely with the sales manager to establish best practices for business development
  • Maintaining and forging strong relationships with both current and prospective clients
  • Researching business development opportunities regionally and developing plans to establish new accounts
  • Negotiating deals, which include timeline and delivery turnarounds
  • Sourcing new materials

Skills & Experience:

  • Must be a motivated go-getter who learns quickly and adapts easily to new environments.
  • Must have 2-3 years in direct outbound and inside sales.
  • Must have the discipline required to realize your goals and objectives.
  • Must have a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Must have exceptional computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have a university degree or post-grad college level diploma, ideally in business and/or forestry related disciplines.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn and grow as well as the vision to turn this position into a highly lucrative lifetime career.
