We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a storied history in the financial industry and in the delivery of complex technical projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Executive Committee, you will be a critical player in our efforts to surpass our business growth objectives. The CTO will be closely involved in business process design and will have the ability to transform and shape Innocap’s technology.

At a high-level, you will be accountable for the following:
Steer the Technology vision - Develop a strategic technical vision for the company & anticipate, plan and act on shifts in technology;
Lead the Planning Process and Execution of Top Priorities – Provide executive-level leadership in evaluating long-range IT activities, needs of different stakeholders and IT investments to support the business vision. Be responsible for the delivery of all software, including velocity and quality, and own the product roadmap;
Act as Chief Security Officer – Manage the enhancement, dissemination, and implementation of the cybersecurity policy, standards, guidance and tools/software to ensure stability, confidentiality, integrity and availability of information technology systems, networks and data;
Team & Service Provider Leadership - Manage, coach and engage a team of IT professionals. Maintain optimal relationships with external service providers.
Specifically, we see our CTO providing the following expertise:
Develop & articulate a long-term technological vision. Leading and participating in strategic conversations to ensure we are considering all technical aspects and risks.
Provide technology and business vision alignment.
Analyze & select the technologies and platforms that will support our business objectives. Manage all vendor relationships including system vendors, network vendors tracking contracts, budget and performance.
Lead Software Architect
Write the architectural specifications for future developments; including setting architecture principles, defining the reference architecture, establishing technology road maps aligned with business priority and vision.
Lead our in-house development team. Ensure that the most important tech initiatives are properly prioritized, scoped and resourced. Make key technical decisions (product, architecture, etc.) when necessary.
Be the “example to follow” regarding collaboration with other organizational functions.
Be a true technology champion with our current and future clients. Spending time with clients and internal users to better understand technological needs and opportunities.
Enhance current framework, assess potential risks and identify solutions to mitigate the potential risks.
Identify & write detailed functional specifications.
Software Engineering Lead
Lead and guide the efforts of the software engineering team.
Relevant experience in a complex financial organization;
Demonstrated experience translating complex client needs into high-quality technological solutions;
A clear vision of the needs of a successful technological organization;
Aptitude to develop a collaborative & performance-driven working environment with all internal and external stakeholders;
Capability to efficiently manage an IT team;
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems and meet deadlines;
Ability to articulate complex concepts across varied audiences to build consensus and lead change;
Ability to foster a culture of innovation, tolerance of failure and persistent curiosity.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Programming, Computer Science or related field required;
A degree in mathematics, statistics, finance or knowledge of financial derivative instruments is a plus;
Minimum 15 years’ experience in computing, software development and software architecture;
5+ years’ executive-level experience preferred;
Exceptional project management and organization skills;
Expertise in a Microsoft centric environment and different development languages (SQL, C++, Python, etc.);
Successful experience in iterative and incremental software/website development (agile).
