Fredericton Animal Hospital requires a full-time veterinary technician. We have 5 veterinarians and a staff of 16 and our facility is brand new, with digital radiography, an in-house lab, dentistry, and multi-purpose rigid endoscopy. We are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.
For us, it’s not just about the animals, though we do love them. We build long-term relationships with our clients and want people to enjoy coming to see us. We give our technicians a lot of responsibility. They are a key part of our medical team and we want them to use all their skills and training to do some really neat stuff.
In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of client and patient care including doing appointments, performing diagnostic screenings, educating clients, scheduling appointments, assisting in medical and surgical procedures, inventory management tasks, and general administrative tasks. Our technicians are supported by our veterinary assistants and we empower our techs to apply all their technical skills and training.
The person we’re looking for:
Has 2+ years full time experience as a veterinary technician and is looking to take on a new challenge. We also encourage techs with less experience, but who have a strong desire to learn and excel to apply.
