There is a career opportunity available at RONA Home & Garden Kelowna, BC #170. Reporting to the Management team, the Customer Assistance/Load Out Personnel is responsible for providing friendly and helpful service to customers who require assistance in transporting and loading product into customers’ vehicles. This position also maintains a tidy and welcoming appearance both inside and outside the store and assists customers and staff with other general duties. If you have a friendly, pro active attitude, enjoy working outdoors occasionally and love helping customers, then we have a great opportunity for you! This is an entry level position

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Offers assistance to customers by loading purchased merchandise into their vehicles
  • Retrieves Special Order Product for customers from Receiving or Special Order Hold area
  • Ensures Shopping Carts are available to customers in designated areas of the store
  • Maintains cleanliness of front of the store, parking lot, and keeps customer service and cash areas free of debris and garbage
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Offers various support to departments and team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically active and capable of performing duties that include bending, stretching, lifting and carrying medium to heavy items
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and demonstrate flexibility
  • Comfortable with basic computers and able to demonstrate appropriate telephone etiquette
  • Comfortable operating equipment including garbage compactor
  • Willing to work outdoors periodically throughout shift
