Responsibilities

Simulate manufacturing operations using Arena Simulation Sofware;

Design and update plant layouts and production cells layouts;

Formulate and review work instructions for subassembly and assembly of locks components and others;

Support manufacturing engineers on their projects;

Do time study for work process;

Provide technical support for production and material handling respecting lean manufacturing standards;

Ensure that the targets (KPI's), budgets and deadlines set for the project are respected, and provide progress reports and evaluations to the supervisors at established frequencies;

Actively participate in the continuous improvement process (DMS, Kaizen, A3 problem solving, etc.);

Other tasks related to manufacturing engineering.

Training Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent (on going);

Successfully completed the Arena Simulation Software course;

Knowledge and good command of Word, WordPerfect, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Project, MRP and Autocad;

Good spoken and written English and French;

Knowledge of continuous improvement programs an asset.
