We are located in Downtown Toronto, but currently working remotely until further notice.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Director FP&A, you will be a strong collaborative business partner providing superior data analytics to provide strategic, value-add insight to key internal stakeholders. This position provides the essential leadership, advisory services, and oversight to drive a robust data infrastructure, data governance model and data analytics to deliver superior decision-support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the development and maintenance of a robust data infrastructure that can be leveraged across the Bank.
Establish and maintain a rich data warehouse from multiple sources that contains all the meaningful data required to run the Bank on an informed and profitable basis.


Design and maintain a robust data governance model and control environment that meets audit and compliance requirements.
Ensure all data is properly sourced and retained, secured, and reconciled.


Develop and deliver robust data sets and strategic analysis providing valuable insights that will assist the business to optimize execution on key deliverables.
Define business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
Integrates information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
Work closely with business partners in Product & Marketing to develop new account acquisition strategies and insight into existing account usage.
Work closely with business partners in Risk to provide detailed analytics on historical account performance and risk exposures.
Work closely with business partners in Finance to provide detailed analytics and insight on current account performance and financial profitability.
Understand key business drivers through analytics, and enhance knowledge of marketing, product and risk strategies, competitive practices, and market insights to provide valuable insights into business solutions to all key constituents.


Play key role in implementation of a new ERP system, specifically focusing on designing the foundational data structure to create a robust data warehouse and assisting with automating data feeds as required.
Leverage new ERP system to create self-serve reporting capabilities including customized, dynamic dashboards for various business users.

University degree in Business / Economics / Engineering or similar
Knowledge of SAS/SQL is required (SAS Certification preferred)
Proficiency with MS Office
7+ years of experience in data analytics
3+ years in Financial Services industry, specifically credit cards
Strong data analytics and modelling capabilities with experience working with significant volumes of data
Previous experience developing and maintaining a robust data infrastructure with strong governance and controls


Strong business and process acumen, with ability to analyze strategic requirements, create innovative solutions, and develop action plans
Excellent time management and prioritization skills, to effectively manage multiple business initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc analysis with all business stakeholders
Solution-oriented, trusted business advisor with highly collaborative, hands on approach
Ability to influence and negotiate with others in cross-functional teams and at all levels of the organization
Demonstrates sound judgment and make prompt, well-reasoned decisions in a rapidly changing, complex business environment and under time pressure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present issues of varying complexity to a wide variety of audiences effectively

Technical Skills

Proficient technical skills across multiple technology platforms, SAS, SAS Viya and SQL considered a strong asset; aptitude to leverage technology to improve processes
Previous experience working with BI tools, managing multiple data sources, or ERP systems is an asset
