-La Belle et la Boeuf Burger Bar Gatineau is looking to add a talented and motivated Head Chef and leader to it's kitchen crew! Anticipated start in sept-oct 2019.

Experience in a leadership role in a similar establishment is a requirement. You must have experience working all stations and have a good working knowledge of large volume cooking .Speaking French isn't totally needed but would be a great asset . Our menu uses simple cooking techniques but is high volume. An interest in this style of cooking is essential. most menu items are made from scratch and with love.

This position is full time, some late nights a small possibility if cooks are sick or on vacation but not necessary if kitchen is properly organized . You must be comfortable working any station through a busy service and able to run service if needed. We are very team oriented, and provide a happy, hospitable work environment for all employees. You must be able to lead in a positive way, treating all your co-workers with respect and kindness. You must be able to communicate calmly and effectively with all staff.

Regular duties will include: -placing food orders -preparing food items -supervising staff and all food production -training new employees -ensuring fridges and kitchen stays clean and organized -keeping up with regular food prep -working a station through service if needed -occasionally leading service -communicating with front of house staff -expediting food and occasionally help running the food -creating weekly Soups and some menu items on daily specials .

Compensation will be dependant on experience but starting wage is between 17$ and 25$/hr depending on your experience (bi-weekly salary) . There will be potential for advancement within the company, for the right candidate, as the company grows.
