The Corporate Services Division of Highways and Public Works provides critical central agency services to government and direct services to the department itself. We provide acquisition, risk management, purchasing, asset management, common products supply, printing, mail delivery, insurance, travel and fleet vehicle services to Yukon government departments. We also provide policy, communications, and finance services to the Department of Highways and Public Works. Our division employs analysts, procurement specialists, graphic designers, client service specialists, accountants and many other professionals.

The Acquisition Services and Planning unit in the Supply Services branch works with Yukon government departments, providing expertise and support in the areas of acquisition, contracting and procurement planning for goods and transportation services. This position understands and can explain the Government of Yukon’s procurement policy and contracting processes to both internal clients and external vendors. The successful candidate will have knowledge of current contracting and procurement methodologies and practices along with experience building strong business relationships with stakeholders and internal clients. They demonstrate effective communication skills and are committed to finding best value for clients.

Experience managing activities associated with procurement functions including: planning, developing product standards and specifications, tendering, evaluating and awarding contracts;
Considerable experience in project management and supply chain management;
Experience working with MS Office;
Professional designation or certification in a supply chain management organization (for example, PMAC, NIGP or ISM) would be considered an asset
