We are looking for a Talent Sourcer to join our Talent Acquisition Team! In this role, you will support the Recruitment Consultants with recruitment efforts by proactively sourcing talent with concentration on hard-to-recruit and high-volume roles in our Montreal and Toronto regions.
You will proactively build school/community/professional relationships and execute creative and innovative sourcing strategies. In this role there will be a strong focus on understanding the market and pre-screening quality candidates on availability, interest level, salary range, and basic qualifications.
This role requires a collaborative and positive approach, an analytical mindset, a keen sense of accountability and a self-driven work ethic. You will generate ideas, leverage resources and share information that facilitates an effective search process aimed at hiring top talent.
Our Talent Acquisition Team is dedicated to looking at new ways of doing things and therefore the Talent Sourcer will be part of leading the recruitment change be and innovative with their approach to the role and work.
Source candidates through a variety of search resources (social media, ATS, internal database, job boards, networking, internet searches, events, etc.);
Research innovative soucing methodologies and creative channels for finding new candidates;
Develop and maintain a ready pool of pre-screened candidates through all available sourcing means and take initiative in creating alternative and creative sourcing to increase the pool;
Partner with Recruitment Consultants to;
Share market/candidate information, insight on recruiting challenges and make clear recommendations and work across various business teams to effectively leverage and share best practices;
Engage candidates using different recruitment channels such as LinkedIn, inDeed, etc.;
Develop and conduct analysis and reportin such as funnel analysis and conversion rates;
Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates ensuring they remain engaged and develop a pipeline of top-tier, passive candidates across all regions;
Research talent acquisition trends in the staffing industry and recommend improvements to the Medavie recruitment model and related processes in the areas of talent identification, sourcing, assessment and selection;
Provide input into the design of tools, processes and programs to support the corporate talent acquisition strategy;
Understand who the major employers are in each market and build sourcing strategies that allow Medavie to remain proactive and competitive in finding top talent;
Create and implement a new way of doing things and use a multi-channel sourcing approach to source our future employees;
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to have a solid understanding of each unique position;
Promote organizational brand image and attractiveness, both internally and externally;
Represent Medavie at events to build and foster relationships with potential candidate communities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
Project Management and/or Six Sigma certification a definite asset
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset
8+ years recruiting and/or sourcing experience in a high-volume & professional staffing role - sourcing candidates for highly specialized and complex roles;
Experience sourcing in Montreal and Toronto regions is a definite asset;
Hands-on experience with full life-cycle recruitment, Talent Advancement as well as Employer Branding Activities;
Experience in prioritizing across all stages of the recruiting cycle and compensation as related to hiring and negotiations;
Experience in recruiting active and passive candidates and direct sourcing through various methods:
LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean, Social Media, networking communities, website, referrals, university relations, and your own toolbox of other sources;
Strong screening ability for highly specialized positions in;
Insurance, Healthcare, Finance, IT, Sales and other specialized roles;
Extreme professionalism, business-acumen, accountability, and ability to self-motivate;
Results oriented and highly organized and efficient with high sense of urgency;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Exceptional communication skills, a natural storyteller and the ability to sell the brand and the job;
Adabtable and can deal with changing requirements;
Resourceful, with the ability to dig into your network and use the power of social media to find A-players to join us;
Strong affiliation to drive for results and exceed goals and objectives with a continous improvement mindset;
Attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes and multiple priorities;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French;
Highly collaborative approach and can work well with others;
Proven stakeholder management experience at a mid/senior level with the ability to influence, and the confidence to positively challenge existing thinking.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System - ideally SuccessFactors;
Experience in using souring tools and technology;
Computer savvy with superior expertise in performing Boolean searches for sourcing;
Passion for staying on top of all things 'sourcing tech' - new tools, chrome extensions, events, webinars and everything in-between;
Demonstrated success with various recruiting strategies, techniques, and platforms, including the use of digital and social media.
Fluently Bilingual (English and French) - verbal and written is mandatory
