Our Smart Factory team is digitizing the shop floor, visualizing & assessing complex data, and making our assets more automated and intelligent. We're connecting all things sourcing and manufacturing, from materials planning, quality, predictive maintenance and inventory management. Digital Operations is the necessary bridge between the business and DT.

Role Overview

The Landing Gear Digital Lead is responsible for overall Smart Factory transformation roadmap and execution across three operating sites. This includes defining requirements and plan for system integration, software development, data engineering, SAP data cleansing and sourcing. The site digital lead also utilizes an agile methodology and interacts frequently with the central DT, AME&T, and digital operations teams for enterprise solutions. This position is pivotal in defining our future - are you up for the challenge?

Primary Responsibilities

Set and drive the vision for the sites, supply chain and quality, digital transformation roadmap
Act as the overall project manager for all digital tools, which include developing plans, assisting in validation, monitoring performance, and ensuring adoption
Lead external communications with vendors or integrators when assessing whether to partner to accelerate digital transformations
Work across Collins Aerospace to understand best practices, exsisting tools and resources
Leverage user-design thinking and business requirements when developing business digital tool solutions
Responsible to ensure infrastructure architect, software applications, and data sourcing comply with central DT, AME&T and Digital Operations organizations.
Project management using agile & scrum methodology.
Communicate all digital transformation strategies and progress to plan
Responsible for developing team skill sets which include Javascript, Teradata, Alteryx, PostgreSQL, Jira & SAP.
Responsible for the site digital budget and executing under budget

Required skills / Experience

Bachelor degree from a 4 year university in Information Technology or General Business.
Experience using agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Understanding of software development / engineering lifecycle.
Ability to understand business visions & ideas and translate it into an operations wire frame.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that are relatable at all levels
Natural presence / comfortable presenting to internal and external customers
Superb planning and organizational skills
Adaptability and multi-tasking; experience working in a fast moving environment
Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure project priorities meet critical business needs and timelines
Strong experience in shop floor management, production planning and supply chain processes

Preferred Skills / Experience

Masters of Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or related
PMP certified


This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, analytics, business management, or computer science and 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience.
