DUTIES
Reporting to the Director of Facility Management, the Computerized Maintenance Management System
(CMMS) Technical Officer will be responsible for the implementation of a Computerized Maintenance
Management Software solution at Red River College. The CMMS Technical Officer will be responsible for
all phases of the implementation, including review of the current solution, mapping (and where possible
streamlining) current work order and preventative maintenance processes, development of a complete list
of system requirements unique to Red River College's needs, tendering and selection of a suitable
software package, and overseeing the implementation of the chosen system including any data gathering
activities. This position will liaise closely with Red River College's IT department to ensure the system
chosen meets the standard for new software and will function with existing software and hardware in the
College IT environment, where possible. The CMMS Technical Officer must have a strong understanding
of both property/equipment maintenance as well as related IT systems. The CMMS Technical Officer may
also be required to manage other similar projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
may be considered
  • Extensive experience with project management, maintenance systems, processes, policies and
procedures
  • Experience in managing projects on time and with fiscal responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and foster collaboration with a diverse group of
stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve resource issues and manage project scope
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills to produce project documentation and present information
clearly
  • Excellent attention to detail, as well as advanced analytical, problem solving and decision making
skills

ASSETS
  • Project Management Practitioner (PMP) or formal project management training
  • Experience implementing a CMMS or similar system
