Bissell Centre is growing and in need of a passionate and skilled Personal Support Worker. The PSW works with adults who are diagnosed with a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) as well as co-occurring mental health and addictions to support home stability and goal achievement through a client centered, FASD Informed and harm reduction approach.
The PSW acts as a broker between residents and resources to enhance the resident’s self-reliance within their home and community. Due to the nature of the position, the PSW will occasionally experience physical and/or verbal abuse from and between participants.
This position is a Permanent, Full-time position and reports to the Manager of FASD programs.
This position requires individuals who are willing to work on a 365 24/7 rotating shift rotation (4-3-4-2) which includes holidays, evenings, nights and weekends. Individuals must have the ability to respond quickly to individuals in crisis.
