SUMMARY

Position covers Western Canada. Ideal candidate location includes: Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Vancouver, BC.

Territory Manager (TM) responsibilities encompass the development of revenue and relationships with Channel Partners and end-users in the assigned territory. The Territory Manager will work closely with other ViewSonic team members to assure account support, and maximize identified opportunities in the assigned territory. Expected business travels 50% at the minimum.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develop and grow key accounts as assigned. Responsible for maintaining and increasing volume levels with existing assigned accounts.
Engage in end user account calls with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) when applicable to enhance the promotion of ViewSonic in the territory.
Engage with distributor field representatives to better understand the reseller community through revenue availability and plan a strategy accordingly.
Develop and implement innovative account based marketing plans and activities. Review marketing investments and ROI, and responsible for the investment of marketing funds.
Conduct training events with accounts/resellers to ensure knowledge and mind share of ViewSonic products, programs and services by their sales representatives and executive management.
Maintain a well-defined sales strategy for all accounts in defined region.
Grow skills to and maintain a high level of job and product knowledge, competition, teamwork, communication, creativity, productivity, time management, career development plans, ongoing sales training, etc.
Selective targeting of strategic customers in the assigned areas - instituting fresh programs, improving communication between ViewSonic and the target companies.
Support the General Manager and upper management by assisting in reviewing and/or modifying existing strategies and tactics, establishing and maintaining good communication with all levels of the organization.
Contribute to the development of future marketing and sales programs by regularly reporting to corporate competitive pricing information, new product introductions, and promotional activities.
Attend trade shows, conduct seminars, participate in sales events, conduct product training and do executive level presentations as required.
Perform and complete other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent preferred
Minimum five (5) years sales experience in a Computer Hardware industry, specifically managing channel accounts for display products and solutions.
Demonstrated the ability to promote growth in territory/account and drive growth in POS.
Passionate for technology, must have working knowledge of how to service, sell, and support projects within target accounts.
Possess a professional demeanor, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
Possess a high level of energy with demonstrated ability to make a substantial number of calls, handle a high volume of accounts and maintaining a continuous pace.
Must have excellent time management skill and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Travel: 50% travel; mostly in assigned territory with some nationwide travels

Environment: As this is a field sales position, the environment is usually on the road visiting customers and prospects. Home office is the standard office environment.

Physical Effort: Work requires frequent physical demands in terms of maintaining a continuous pace of business travels, and maneuvering and setting up demo equipment.

Hazards: Negligible, little or no exposure to hazards.
