ApplyBoard is looking for a talented writer, compelling storyteller, and exceptional communicator to join our Marketing Team as a Marketing Copywriter. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing and editing marketing-focused content for traditional and digital mediums including our multiple blogs, promotional materials, advertisements, websites, and more. Write, edit, and stage content for the ApplyBoard Blog, Life at ApplyBoard Blog, and Recruitment Partner News Center with a minimum of 5 posts per week
Write, edit, and review content for the internal staff newsletter, ApplyBuzz
Research, analyze data, draw conclusions, and write compelling content based on raw data
Develop compelling content based on a strong understanding of defined personas including students, partner schools, recruitment partners, and other stakeholders
Proof and provide feedback on written communications created by the Marketing Team and cross-functional team members
Develop, implement, and evolve SEO strategies across content
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure the promotion of marketing activities and initiatives
Provide leadership team with monthly reporting on content performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with Marketing Team members on content to support larger initiatives and campaigns including emails, eBooks, whitepapers, presentations, sales enablement items, handouts, brochures, guides, etc.
Support the Director of Marketing, Marketing Communications Manager, and Public Relations Specialist with crisis management and communications
Assist with other tasks assigned
A college degree or university diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, business, or a related field
3-5 years of experience developing compelling content for a variety of mediums at a high-growth company preferably within the technology sector
Ability to produce large amounts of high quality, engaging content
Exceptional communication skills including writing, editing, and proofreading
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Demonstrated experience with blog management, content creation, SEO, and reporting
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Ability to work well under pressure, while producing high quality work
