Job Description:

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for maximizing Hotel revenues by developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies designed to increase occupancy and profitability of our meeting facilities, guest rooms, and restaurant. They will work collaboratively with the Sales & Catering Team, Rooms Division & Revenue Manager and other staff members to foster and communicate the hotel’s positive image.

Key Activities:


  • Establish client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social, and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling to secure business for the hotel to ensure that function and room night sales and revenue goals are met or exceeded
  • Working as an extension of the Sales and Catering department, provide leads and solicit new business for meeting room rentals, corporate events, weddings and other social events
  • Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines
  • Arrange and conduct tours, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients
  • Attend trade shows and other networking events
  • Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings
  • Keep accurate records of sales related activities, and report on activities regularly to the owner of the hotel


  • The timely development, execution, reporting and analysis of new and existing marketing campaigns (Digital, email & print)
  • Organize our archive of marketing materials & photography
  • Identify new and creative opportunities to amplify marketing initiatives for the Hotel and Restaurant
  • Develop and execute in-house promotions for the Hotel and Restaurant in a timely fashion
  • Design print ads, online ads and various promotional materials for the Hotel and Restaurant
  • Ensure Best Western corporate marketing standards are being met
  • Manage all social media platforms including:
  • Monitor online presence and reviews on multiple websites (Google+, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc)
  • Developing and managing Social Media content (updating postings on a weekly basis, managing comments and reviews)
  • Social Media Monitoring - reporting on social media efforts across various social media platforms (Customer engagement, etc)
  • Execution of marketing campaigns across the various social media outlets (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram & Twitter)
  • Maintain and update website content, communicate with website designer to optimize site performance
  • Achieve and maintain high content scores across Online Travel Agency websites with up to date photography and property/room information
  • Additional duties as the role evolves


  • Previous hotel sales and marketing experience in a full-service hotel
  • Degree or Diploma in marketing, hospitality management, or business preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HTML
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in multiple social media platforms and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Interest in data and reporting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work flexible hours (Work days mainly Mon- Fri, but occasional weekends and evenings may be required)
  • Some travel may be required
