Position Title: Driver, Class 1 - AZ (Seasonal)

Team and Location: Commercial - Grande Prairie, AB

We are looking for two (2) Class 1 Drivers to work seasonally until the end of April 2020.

Our Driver’s report to the Branch Manager and are responsible for daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection and minor maintenance tasks when necessary. Drivers will be delivering fuel (Gas & Diesel), to a variety of customers and all routes are scheduled by our experienced dispatch team. The ability to give great customer service is required for this role as Bluewave Energy takes pride in ensuring we deliver exceptional customer service at all times. This role requires flexibility in your work schedule. We cater to the needs and requirements of our client base. Overtime as well as night shifts are expected in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Safe operations of a Class 1 vehicle.
Deliveries in the Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek areas.
Meeting TDG requirements for hauling petroleum products.
Safe delivery of Petroleum products in line with company SWPs and CPPI standards.
Effective communication with staff and customers.
Providing customers service and promoting company image.

Qualifications and Skills:
Class 1 license with an abstract acceptable to the Employer.
Minimum two years safe driving experience.
Ability to read understands and adheres to the rules and regulations of the federal and provincial Governments.
Understands log book recording and regulatory compliance.
Must be comfortable using a computer.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs and to perform basic vehicle repairs.
Possess reasoning skills to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions.
