We are looking to hire an experienced and professional Prep/Line Cook Worker. Requirements:

  • Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate
  • Knowledge in large quantity food preparation, preferably in a corporate cafeteria setting;
  • Knowledge of food preparation and customer service
  • Physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift;
  • Experience in similar domain/work setup
  • Criminal Record Search prior to joining (Done by associate)
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player

Accountabilities:

  • Experience working in a food service cafeteria environment is required. As well as, working in a clean and efficient manor is a must.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of station.
  • To ensure proper preparation of all food items, as per Sodexo specifications and recipes.
  • To ensure all food is prepared are as per Husky Nutritional Guidelines
  • To maintain a safe working environment at all times, as per Sodexo & Husky standards.
  • To ensure that sanitation is maintained at levels at or exceeding those of the Client, Health Department and Sodexo and follow all HACCP guidelines.
  • Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
  • May assist in catering services, including order collection, scheduling, food prep and staging, delivery, cleanup.
  • Responds to comments and complaints from client.
  • Monitor fridge and freezers daily to ensure adequate supplies are on hand, food is properly stored and leftovers are programmed.
  • Ensure that all food are held and served at proper temperatures and recorded in HACCP log.
  • Ensure that records are kept of usage and leftovers for all meals.
  • Check fridge temperatures, thermometers (and calibrate if necessary) and record in HACCP Log.
  • To provide input for cafeteria menus.
  • To work closely with Chef Manager to eliminate unnecessary waste.
  • Help with inventory.
  • Relieves chef manager when on vacation or off.
  • Completes Food Safety Audits (when required).
  • Ensures staff are working safely and following all Sodexo policies and procedures.
  • Places on-line orders.
  • Puts stock away.
  • Helps with training when needed.
  • Helps with menu planning.
