Essential Job Functions:
QuEST Global (Engineering) Services NA, Inc. seeks skilled candidates with desire to “get out of the shop” and perform the role of Quality Assurance / Source Inspector at various local to Connecticut based suppliers associated with the aero-engine industry. This “service provider” role focuses on conducting Quality Control Inspections per technical requirements and capturing those results in supplier’s data systems. Required experience includes prior: part inspection (traditional, advanced), part reviews, technical documentation, and interacting with customers/suppliers independently when necessary. The ability to be Certified/Recertified (stamps) is also a condition of employment. Candidates must be US Citizens, possess a valid Driver’s license, and have access to a personal vehicle (reimbursable expenses). Additional details follow.

Ability to read/interpret part drawings information. Thorough understanding of GD&T.
Skillful with common Hand/Bench Gages as well as Visual Inspection
Proficient with advanced inspection equipment and techniques (CMM, Light inspection, various Non-Destructive Test/Inspection methods)
Experience recording data in gage specific and/or e-MRP type systems
Knowledge of proper Gage Selection, Gage Calibration, and Gage R&R
Familiarity with the gas turbine engine functionality at the system/component level.
History working with metal & composite based products
Exposure to the manufacturing floor and high tech manufacturing processes
Education, Training, and Experience
AS Technical Degree and 3+ years relevant experience
Or, Non-Degreed / Non-Technical Degree candidates w/ 5+ years of relevant experience
Capable of being SQA trained/retrained and certified (w/ stamp)
IPC J-STD-001 certification – noteworthy
Other Inspection, Quality and/or Manufacturing certifications - beneficial
Competent with MS Office suite tools and emails

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Shop Floor Environments - including the lifting, moving, and tear down of parts
Service oriented: must be able to meet multiple commitments for QuEST’s customers
Common activities include sitting, walking and standing
Can include substantial amounts of computer work
Heavily Regulated Industry with strict adherence to procedures, safety, PPE
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late, arriving early, OT
Ability to use personal transportation (work, customer, other) – reimbursable expenses.
