Billing/invoicing, bookkeeping and administrative duties:

  • Reporting to management

  • Knowledge of auto fleet management is an asset
  • Above average understanding in the complexities of detailed invoicing

Bookkeeping duties:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Payroll (experience is a must)
  • Bank/credit card reconciliation
  • GST calculation and filing quarterly and on time
  • Revenue and expenses posted correctly
  • Ensure all asset and liability accounts reconciled
  • US portfolio (assist office manager)
  • Filing US taxes (GET/TAT)

Skills and duties:

  • Proficient with QuickBooks online required (minimum of 5 years experience)
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in bookkeeping
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • During our busy seasons (Summer and Fall), this position requires the applicant to create and process a high volume of invoices for services provided by the company to major contractors/subcontractors in accordance with customer contracts and PO’s.
  • In addition to accurately compiling & processing the invoices, submitting invoices to the clients, following up on submittals and collection/invoice status, follow up are key aspects of the role.
  • Maintain a tracking system and daily log of scale/haul tickets
  • Knowledge of scale house an asset (ticketing)
  • A good understanding of accumulated compounded interest

Experience in the gravel/construction/trucking services preferred. The position is in a home-based office (3-person office environment) offering flexible hours depending on busy season, 3-5 days a week. Must have mode of transportation.
