The Senior Operations Analyst – Wealth Management is accountable for the analysis and reporting of timely, informative, and actionable performance results to credit union managers and sales staff. They work directly with all levels of the Wealth department and have regular interactions with many areas of the credit union including retail operations, financial performance, accounting, business banking and IT. The position contributes to the organization by providing meaningful performance, compensation and profitability information to managers to support operational decisions. In addition this position supports strategic decisions and material initiatives by providing critical performance and profitability analysis and recommendations to senior management. This position has broad independence to develop analysis and reporting, under the general direction of the senior management team. This position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of work done by other department staff.
What does a Senior Operations Analyst - Wealth Management do?
Produce and oversee standard department, branch and individual performance reports.
Recommend modifications to report structure, functions, and data compilation activities to improve reporting efficiencies and reduce reporting errors and time to completion
Coordinate the gathering of corporate wide statistical type wealth management information required for accurate monthly financial reporting. In addition to providing critical consolidated reporting type information for the organization this information is used to evaluate performance and compensation of the Wealth management staff
Oversee, coordinate and supervise report production where delegated
Recommend, develop processes and deliver new statistical information as needed
Identify problems, discover plans or patterns, link information to strategic direction, reach conclusions, and evaluate action in relation to organizational development/department operations
What are some of the skills a Senior Operations Analyst – Wealth Management must have?

A minimum of 5 years experience in an Operations Analyst role with demonstrated ability to apply business analysis techniques to increasingly complex projects or initiatives.
Experience working with large amounts of data to generate multiple business outputs
Proven effectiveness in facilitation of senior and/or cross-functional groups.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
Financial sector experience preferably in Wealth Management is considered a strong asset.
Education / Training:
Post secondary education
Formal training with Microsoft Excel
Business writing and presentation skills
VBA an asset
Licenses / Certificates:
Wealth industry designations (i.e. Canadian Securities Course, Certified Financial Planning designation, Chartered Financial Analyst, etc.) are encouraged.
Previous IIROC and/or MFDA license an asset.
