Fairstone, a 100% cloud company, is looking to fill the position of the lead of its DevOps team. For this position, the majority of the work will consist of leading a team technically to design and develop AWS CloudFormation scripts (infrastructure as code) that are used to provision the infrastructure components of our cloud environment. The remaining of the work will consist of documenting and training the team members on best practices of how to automate the provisioning of the infrastructure in the cloud.

Functions

Lead technically the DevOps team on how to implement CloudFormation scripts and AWS Pipelines at Fairstone
Train team on how to design, implement and test automation at Fairstone
Educate the team on how to use the AWS platform to the fullest
Liaise with AWS on issues and updates on behalf of the team
Work with colleagues and senior leaders to deliver on complex initiatives that are a part of the company's overall strategic direction.

Experience

15 years of experience in infrastructure automation
5 years of experience using AWS Cloud Formation scripting
5 years of experience in AWS networking, storage and managed services
10 years of experience in working in an agile environment
Experience configuring both Windows and Linux
Proven understanding of security best practices
