A day in the life of a Licensed Practical Nurse- Team Lead:
Under the direction of the Director of Wellness, as the LPN Team Leader you are responsible for the over sight of all care delivery in Assisted Living and to the Independent Living residents while monitoring their health, safety and well being. Responsibilities will include providing direction and supervision of nursing staff and UCPs; providing direction and guidance to residents about the provision of support services that impact their activities of daily living and about programs developed to enhance the psychological, social, spiritual and recreational needs of residents. The LPN Team Leader will maintain contact with families, physicians and other care giver bodies in order to maintain an Amica standard of care.

How do I qualify?

You must have:
Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Minimum 1 to 2 years recent experience working with geriatrics, long-term care, and or Assisted Living environment required
Recent experience working with RCA’s ( UCP’s, HCA’s)
Maintains a consistent well-groomed appearance/hygiene at all times

Demonstrated ability to provide positive role modeling and leadership to staff
Demonstrated ability to act as a resident advocate
Basic computer skills within Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
