A proud partner of Agence Carrières for multiple years, our client is a leading specialist of the processing field with distribution centers for the food industry throughout North America. Our cooperation brings great satisfaction to numerous professionals because of our client’s dedication to precise organization, tactical allocation of resources and satisfaction of its employees, precisely the reasons for its large success.

Job Description

Frequent transport of comestible merchandise and occasional transport of chemicals between distribution centers and to client businesses throughout the North-America East Coast.

The truck driver is assigned to a distribution center from which he will always start his trips and to which he will always return, sometimes with new merchandise.

Trips (round-trip) almost always last more than a full day, often up to a week.

The truck driver will be supported with industry-leading equipment and a coordination at all time for efficient operations and support in case of issues. On the other hand, he is required to show independent problem-solving capabilities, coordination capabilities and discipline in case issues arise. He will be allocated a budget for travels of more than a day for housing, food and medication that he will have to manage (and will be unaccountable for its use towards the company).

The trucker is responsible for verifying the diagnostic of his assigned truck before and after every travel. In case of mechanic breakdown, he will be required to perform diagnostics and repairs for common issues independently, coordinate with the coordination center for troubleshooting and fixing of a certain range of issues, or wait for support sent by the coordination center.
