Position title: Member Services Supervisor

Reports to: Manager, Branch Experience

Location: Arborg

The opportunity:

As Member Services Supervisor (MSS), you’ll be responsible for the successful operation of the Member Services Representative (MSR) team in consistently delivering above and beyond member experience. You will provide direction and supervision to the team in aspects such as coaching, development and motivation. In this role you will assist with and resolve complex problems, and member concerns as referred by staff. With strong leadership and development skills you will grow the branch deposit portfolio while recognizing and coaching MSR’s on opportunities for referrals. As MSS, you will work closely with the Manager, Branch Experience to guide the front line team.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing branch cash operations including treasury
  • Reviewing daily reports and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Administering and advising on complex accounts such as estates and trust accounts
  • Providing guidance to team members on the sale of all deposit products including term deposits, registered products and daily banking solutions
  • Assisting in the setting of performance measures, evaluating performance of direct reports and identify training and development needs
  • Providing a work environment that is supportive of productivity and positive influence of staff
  • Performing MSR duties during peak times, including assisting members with cash transactions
  • Delivering above and beyond member experience, every day
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the team:

Education and experience

  • Post-secondary education (preferred)
  • MSR Accreditation (recommended)
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience
  • In depth knowledge of all retail deposit products
  • Supervisor or managerial experience is an asset

  • Genuine desire to assist others with their banking needs and motivated to provide excellent member service and advice
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech savvy with the desire to share your knowledge with members
  • Proven ability to identify member needs and recommend products and services
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in areas of accountability
  • Ability to convey confidence, in-part knowledge and motivate team members
