David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an IT Senior Consultant (contract).
On behalf of our client, Aplin Information Technology is currently recruiting for an IT Senior Consultant to join their team in Etobicoke, Ontario. This position is responsible for the scope and management initiatives for either internal stakeholders or external clients.
Reporting into the Sr. Director of Strategy & Transformation, the Senior Consultant will support the execution of key initiatives as part of Digital Transformation through:
Providing subject matter expertise required to successfully launch project and ensure alignment with organizational values
Collaborating with Service Delivery organization and other key stakeholders to ensure successful completion of technology
Identifying and communicating project objectives, measurement criteria, and creates project plans. Project plans will include major tasks and milestones.
Identifying the path to achieving client and internal adoption of the tools used as well as the value realization outlined in the initial business case
Creating reports and presentations to update upper management on progress of project using MS PowerPoint and Excel
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited college or university
MBA / Post Grad Degree is an asset
Minimum of 4-5 years of consulting experience in either Business Transformation or Technology Strategy, or 6+ years of progressive, non-consulting work experience in relevant operations
Experience in improving processes, identifying gaps and solutions
Consulting experience with Tier 1 Professional Services/Consulting Firms is required
Experience in creating presentations for senior / leadership / executive audience using MS PowerPoint and Excel data
Experience in leading transformative initiatives within organizations is required
Leadership experience within an Informational Technology setting is required.
Experience in high profile business, technology and digital transformations (i.e., planning and execution of initiatives is a ‘must have’ / as well as building sustainability & governance as part of post-launch strategy)
Experience in facilitating change management and digital transformation within an organizational setting
Ability to communicate effectively and develop strong working relationships with senior leaders within the organization and manage stakeholder expectations in complex situations
Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to work in challenging environments and with a variety of different personalities
Problem -solving skills and logical thinking ability
Detailed oriented, while able to grasp “the Big Picture”
Ability to lead and motivate members
