Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance Program: create, schedule and follow up on PM’s
  • Evaluate work order requests and schedule based on priority and machine availability
  • Investigate overdue work orders and PM’s for root cause and develop solutions
  • Plan, schedule and gather quotes for new projects to be completed by outside contractors
  • Analyze downtime trends to continuously improve the Preventative Maintenance Program and to minimize line downtime
  • Communicate regularly about scheduling with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager
  • Maintain records and files related to maintenance scheduling activities for audit purposes
  • Maintain records and files related to contractors, ensuring all safety clearances are up to date
  • Job requirements
  • Previous experience in a scheduling/planning role, or alternatively, plant/maintenance experience
  • Excellent problem solver, strategic thinker, with good independent judgment and initiative
  • Able to analyze trends and develop creative solutions
  • Previous experience with a CMMS, or other scheduling systems is an asset, experience with FIIX software would be ideal
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with strong skills in Excel
  • Must be able to develop relationships and communicate courteously and effectively with a variety of personalities
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Maintenance scheduling/planning role
