Reporting to the Manager or designate, schedules patients for diagnostic and treatment procedures using either an automated or manual scheduling system, according to established procedures. Obtains information for the admission of patients and performs a variety of reception, data entry, filing, inventory and clerical duties using a personal computer, electronic scheduling and registration software, and related word processing, on-line billing, database, and spreadsheet software tools, as required.
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12 and two year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to keyboard 45 wpm
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
