NimbleFingers Music - Marketing Coordinator
NimbleFingers Bluegrass & Old-Time Workshop and Festival is a rural music event, taking place over two weeks in late August every year. NimbleFingers’s mission is to present bluegrass and old-time music, and to celebrate and grow the community of musicians in BC, Alberta and surrounding areas.
NimbleFingers is seeking a marketing coordinator to help design and execute the organization’s marketing strategy. The individual should possess strong communication skills across digital platforms, be an effective writer and content creator, and be able to tell the NimbleFingers story through various mediums, including website, newsletter, social media, and press releases. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating multiple social media campaigns for different organizations, and be well versed in communications software.
This is a part-time position, suitable for a contractor who has other clients, or an individual who seeks a reduced work-week.
Reporting to the Directors and working alongside the NimbleFingers team, duties include:
- Develop a marketing strategy for the event and organization
- Produce a variety of visual and print assets to support communication and marketing
- Administer campaigns across social media platforms
- Assist in website and brand development
- Ensure promotional and marketing materials meet the company’s identity
- Research and develop data on organization’s market position
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in a marketing role
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to adjust communication styles to match organization’s identity
- Proven history of successful marketing campaigns
- Software: Google Workspace, Mailchimp
- Solid understanding of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and digital analytics
- Knowledge of the BC music event industry
Hours: 15-25 hrs/month. || Pay: $20-35/hr, depending on experience & expectation
