Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain Quality system compliance
  • Maintain contact for quality audits, both internal and external
  • Interpret specifications both internally and those outlined by customers
  • Perform root cause analysis and generate corrective actions
  • Communicate issues and corrective actions with Production Supervisors and operators
  • Develop full knowledge of Southwest United Canada procedures and ensure compliance
  • Review/monitor daily on-shop floor practices and processes, corrective actions and follow up
  • Utilization of technical writing skills (i.e. Corrective action reports, operating & rework instructions)
  • Participate in production meetings in absence of Quality Manager
  • Ensure cross training of Quality personnel
  • Responsible for 6S maintenance within the Quality department
  • Consistently follow Southwest’s quality policies and procedures; and
  • Abide by Southwest’s established Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • College diploma or equivalent, focus on quality or chemical processes preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing or chemical processing industry preferred
  • Experience as a customer liaison or quality focal
  • Experience with NADCAP accreditation, ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS requirements.
  • Good attention to detail and results oriented
  • Strong sense of teamwork within department and across organization
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications
  • Adhere to work schedule and perform duties with a high degree of quality and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Occasional travel required

  • NADCAP: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Chemical processes: 1 year (Preferred)
