Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has a new opportunity for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist: in our Head Office: located in beautiful South Surrey, BC.: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is involved in all aspects of recruitment for the company and serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and the People & Performance team. Supporting the goals of the company, you will focus on high priority needs and assist in efficiently filling positions by sourcing high performers in the industry.

The Opportunity:
  • Provide recruitment support to guide and influence all hiring managers
  • Leverage existing and seek out new opportunities to advertise career opportunities
  • Ensure all recruitment collateral (job postings, job ads, career fair information) is professional, creative and meets the company standards
  • Using the Westland sourcing strategy, build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates through active and targeted sourcing
  • Professionally represent Westland’s employment branding, generally serves as a candidates first connection with the company
  • Engage in recruitment events, provide coaching to managers who participate at the event and where appropriate, attends events
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance Westland’s brand recognition with potential candidates
  • Build a strong working relationship with all hiring Managers, effectively gathers relevant information to ensure accurate understanding of recruitment needs
  • Work independently and proactively to ensure recruitment needs of hiring managers are met
  • Maintain accurate records to provide regular updates on recruitment activity
  • Communicate in a compelling manner through email, phone and in person to influence and persuade internal clients and external candidates/recruiters

Here's what you bring:
  • 5+ years of corporate recruiting experience
  • Ability to multitask and manage concurrent recruits while maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Interviewing skills – assessing candidates, delivering interview training to hiring managers
  • Advanced computer skills including applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, word processing and spreadsheets
