The Veterinary Emergency Clinic located near Yonge and Davenport is looking to add to its Front Office team. We currently have 2 positions available covering evenings and overnights (including weekends and Holidays).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Answer Phones, direct calls, take messages
  • Register clients and patients upon arrival in the ER
  • Admit patients using standard admit procedures, including securing appropriate deposit
  • Discharge patients using standard discharge procedures
  • Fax medical history or case summary to Referring Veterinarians
  • Confirm accuracy of client and patient information
  • Prepare medical charts
  • Maintain a clean working environment - including reception desk and client waiting room
  • Book appointments for referral services and fax appropriate referral forms
  • Provide Clients and referring veterinarians with information regarding VEC services
  • Understand the triage definition and call for a triage technician when necessary
  • Follow through with pet Insurance forms

Our ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in communication, multi-tasking and attention to detail with a focus on client relations. You must also be punctual and reliable. Flexibility to work shift work is mandatory as we are a 24 hours clinic.

Experience in the Health Care or in the Veterinary industry and/or a diploma in Medical Office Administration is desired. If you are interested in working in a challenging and fast paced environment, please forward your resume.

Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 /hour
