Founded in 1997, Yaldei is known for promoting innovative approaches in early intervention practices with the support of the very talented team: Physiotherapist, Speech and Language pathologist, Occupational therapist, Psychomotor therapist, Art-therapist, Music-therapist, ABA therapist, ABA therapist and educator. We welcome children from the community and from the Yaldei school with who we work closely.

Yaldei Center has an exciting opportunity for a SLP Clinical Supervisor! This position involves managing services to ensure quality, excellence in staff training, program planning, and paperwork/policy compliance. The SLP Clinical Supervisor would be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff in SLP assistants and other staff in applying communication programs at our Yaldei Developmental Center location.
Hours are flexible, but would need to be within working hours. We are also willing to consider a full time or part time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision to the SLP-As on a regular basis
  • Define treatment plans and present them to the families and professionals involved
  • Conduct assessments as needed
  • Completes patient reevaluations, progress notes and discharges and any significant changes in condition in accordance with SLP policies
  • Assist with therapy needs and questions
  • Develops, prepares and maintains supervision progress records with accuracy
  • Provide recommendations for the latest tools and resources needed

Required License/Registration/ Certification:

  • Have a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • A member in good standing of the College of Speech Language Pathologists in Quebec
  • Interested in working with young children and adolescents with special needs
  • Skilled in completing formal and informal assessments and identifying treatment goals
  • Be familiar with non-verbal augmentative communication systems
  • Known for your empathy, good listening skills and ability to work in a team
  • At least 1 years’ experience in speech therapy
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset

Remote supervision is possible temporarily during COVID-19, yet requires at least 1-2-time clinic visit per month to provide face to face re-evaluation on SLPAs' caseload.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $25.00-$55.00 per hour
