Duties

Provides clerical and administrative/operational support services and related information/guidance, typically in support of a specific function or a program area in a field unit.

Work environment

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

Intent of the process

This process is intended to fill anticipated vacancies with the same work description and may be used to staff various length of tenures (temporary, full-time, and part-time).

A variety of positions may be filled from this competition. Positions could be located in a range of work locations in Jasper National Park such as the Visitor Information Centre, the Administration Building, the Maintenance Compound or the Palisades Education Centre.

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school or Public Service Commission approved alternative.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
  • Recent and significant** experience in providing administrative and/or financial support services.
  • Experience in working in a client serviced environment such as responding to requests for information from internal and/or external clients.
**Recent and significant is defined as a minimum of 1 year within the last 5 years
