The National Inventory and System Support Specialist provides WMS and LMS expertise for all facilities across Canada. As a Specialist, he/she will work with the Regional Operation SME’s, Managers and Supervisors to develop continuous improvement initiative, operational and system efficiencies. The Specialist with the guidance of the Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to have a Company wide process consistency in VWS Operations


In collaboration with Regional SME’s, review existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with the Supervisors to ensure all aspects of the Operations, Inventory Control and Labour Management System are properly defined to develop a company wide Best Practice.
Leads the design, development and deployment of high quality and accurate end user training to all Regional SME’s, Superusers and Management Team.
Provides system support to Regional Operation SME and occasionally to operational users in the network when required
Develops employee’s operational knowledge of the WMS and LMS by providing coaching and training. including inventory control, customer service, management and administrative team members
Conducts scheduled audit with the Regional Operation SME and VWS Management team to ensure Best Practice compliance on all sites
Develops and assists with WMS continuous improvements and system enhancements, including testing, documentation, project planning, training and implementation such as pick lines, search paths, selection methods and direct put away
Uses project management skills to ensure development and delivery of numerous moving parts associated with training delivery, ensuring required training is delivered on a timely basis.
Research and provides recommendations for new technology to help improve operation efficiency and inventory accuracy
Supports the customer service team as required in system enhancement and customer on-boarding


Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a frontline supervisory role in a warehouse/logistics/inventory control environment.
Post-secondary courses in Operations and Inventory Control Management, IT system and an asset
Experience working in an environment with Pick and Ship processes as well as high volume system generated inventory control (barcoding, RF)
Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities through analyzing large data sets
Ability to build business cases and manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Advance knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Manhattan, Titan, P2, Voice Pick)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel, Word and Power Point including Data analysis software such as MS Access or SQL
Ability to translate complex information or system functionality into simple and effective training programs and materials
Must be able to travel to facilities across Canada 25% of the time with flexibility to travel on short notice
Must be able to work in cold temperatures (up to -25C) warehouse environment
Must be able to work varying shift as required
