Job Purpose:

As a Dishwasher with Long Beach Lodge Resort, you will work alongside professional chefs of the highest caliber and be part of a great team. You’ll be responsible for providing guests and staff with clean and sanitized utensils, plate-ware, glassware, and equipment. This role also sets up and closes down the dish machine, maintains daily cleanliness of the kitchen, and may also help with prep work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that proper sanitation techniques and Occupational Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, plate-ware, glassware, and equipment
  • Assist kitchen staff with food preparation duties when needed
  • Ensure that all dish cleaning equipment and supplies are stocked properly
  • Maintain kitchen work areas and receive and store kitchen supplies
  • Sweep kitchen floor and change garbage
  • Ensure that the kitchen floor is properly sanitized
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard‑free work environment


  • FOODSAFE certification
  • Previous kitchen experience is an asset
  • Energetic, with a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and aspires to work as a cook

Working conditions:

Flexible, must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, nights as well as weekends and holidays based on the business needs

Physical requirements

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8 hours
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending stairs

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 to $15.00 /hour
