Job Summary

The role of Manager Solution/Integration . has the mandate to integrate technology in accordance with enterprise architecture roadmaps. Services provided include roadmap, design, development, engineering, integration, and delivery of operationally viable applications, infrastructure, network, and technology solutions through delivery excellence. This position is responsible for assessing the impact of emerging technologies on the current environment, providing solutions to address technology and business needs, managing people and financial resources while ensuring the development of high-quality technology solutions.

Main Responsibilities
Leading Others
Partner with HR to bring new talent to the organization by determining which skills and roles will be required in the future and by making thoughtful hiring decisions
Provide a positive and welcoming onboarding experience to all new employees by ensuring they have access to the tools and resources needed to fulfill the requirements of their job
Recognize employee milestones (service awards, retirements, etc.) as well as significant contributions and enhanced responsibilities
Focus on communications and foster collaboration by regularly providing updates to teams about ongoing initiatives and encouraging teams to work together to accomplish common goals and learning
Manage employee performance by ensuring employees who are not meeting expectations are identified and supported through the performance improvement process
Create and enable a positive and engaging work environment by ensuring individual strengths are uncovered and leveraged through frequent and focused conversations - collaborate, coach and build connections with employees

Integration Practice Development
Mature integration practices and evolve an effective integration framework and portfolio that includes effective configuration management, solution patterns, and automation allowing for more responsiveness and agility to incoming demand
Ensure the systems / solutions are maintainable, sustainable and properly documented with all the associated technology and infrastructure components
Responsible for working effectively with project managers, and the senior management team to realize business opportunities through the development of systems / solutions, and clear communication of options with related trade-offs
Work closely with the vendor ecosystem to understand capabilities and select the right delivery partners
Manage and advance vendor relationships and solutions in accordance with standards, and I&T’s reference architecture
Maintain the availability of relevant, current, validated, and reliable knowledge related to systems and solutions designs and patterns
Lower cost, improve quality, and accelerate integration development through process and technology automation practices
Develop sourcing plans in line with I&T strategy
Stay current with industry trends and proactively identify areas for growth, improvement, and development of enterprise integration capabilities, both internally and externally

Specifics per Speciality

Technology and Infrastructure
Direct and put in place best-in-class integration processes for delivering scalable, operationally viable, and sophisticated technology systems in accordance with I&T’s reference architecture
Lead the development and creation of underlying technology and infrastructure services for consumption by integration, other delivery teams, and operations enabling reuse / self-service
Make sure systems and solutions meet availability, reliability, safety and cybersecurity standards
Initiatives & Assignment Management
Develop a capacity versus demand management system to be able to provide integration services to all the initiatives requiring it
Interact with key stakeholders to understand on-going initiatives and upcoming ones
Formally allocates integration teams to the prioritized initiatives
Work with stakeholders to resolve any delivery issues in order to ensure attainment of project deadlines, budgets and quality standards
Based on pipeline, ensure assessment and qualification completion in addition to labour, hardware, software, and other material estimates during the pre-Assessment & Planning (A&P) and A&P project phases
Create and execute sourcing and workforce plan for integration teams
Ensure proper planning, scheduling, and controlling movement of releases within key projects and major programs all the while ensuring knowledge, quality, and transition to core standards are met
Participate in strategic, project, and budget planning efforts
Track progress and reduce the risks associated with lack of adherence to regulations and standards
Work with stakeholders in the architecture and other delivery teams such as enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software development, quality assurance, etc. to ensure alignment to I&T Reference Architecture and ultimately meets expected outcomes
Work with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, Business Architects, Solution Architects, Operations teams, etc. to provide key input for new capabilities including: design estimates, timelines, technical challenges, etc.

Requirements
Experience
Minimum 15-20 years of overall work experience
Minimum 5 years in a managerial roles involving progressively more leadership responsibilities in the context of IT management and/or telecommunications integration / delivery
Experience and knowledge in process standardisation and optimisation
At least seven (7) years of experience in infrastructure, telecommunications, or technology project delivery
Experience in driving process changes through operating model frameworks
Experience in leading a large group of technology professionals and engineers
Experience with behavior-driven, test-driven software development
Demonstrate business domain experience dealing with 3PP vendors
Experience in both functional, non functional ( robustness, load/performance, stability, characteristics ), E2E Solution test concepts
Experience in implementing CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins. DevOps knowledge (asset)
Education/Certification/Designation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
Agile coach certification (asset)
Agile scrum master certification (asset)
PMP/PMI certification (asset)

Technical Skills/Knowledge
Ability to leverage and develop key testing metrics and reporting/KPI dashboards
Familiar with requirement analysis, working closely with product architects, business analyst and stakeholders
Exposed to Hardware and Software integration and release management
