Year-over-year sales success positions MilYu for growth and we’re looking for a full-time team member in Alberta. MilYu represents Davis Furniture, ezoBord, Nucraft and Watson Furniture.

WHO YOU ARE

Working independently as the sales rep for MilYu brands, you have experience in the design or commercial furniture industry, are able to travel regularly and are highly self-motivated, knowledgeable, entrepreneurial and passionate.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

On a daily basis, you’ll be responsible for connecting with existing and potential Architecture + Design firms, furniture dealer customers and end-users in Alberta to educate, promote and solicit business. You’ll qualify opportunities, guide customers to appropriate solutions, communicate project details to manufacturer partners, provide budgets to designers, quotes to dealers and contractors and manage the sales funnel from identification to completion.

You will work from your home office and we'll set you you up with the equipment and resources you need. You will need a car, ideally one that fits a chair or two and it's helpful if you have storage space for samples.

Training and marketing support will be provided by MilYu and our manufacturer partners. You will be responsible to grow business in alliance with MilYu’s business objectives, financial goals, best practices and ethical partnership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will leverage your education, experience, skills and personality to:

  • Develop and manage MilYu business in Alberta, focusing on Calgary and Edmonton while building business in smaller markets.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that supports MilYu’s business and sales goals, managing the sales funnel and documenting opportunities from identification to completion.
  • Educate, promote and solicit business with existing and potential A&D, furniture dealer and end-user customers using client-centred, problem-solving, partnership approach.
  • Qualify opportunities, guide customers to appropriate solutions, communicate project details to manufacturer partners, provide budgets to designers and quotes to dealers and contractors.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial furniture sales or design.
  • Minimum university Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related furniture industry sales experience or 5+ years experience in furniture sales or interior design.
  • Knowledge of commercial furniture design, specification and procurement process is preferred.
  • Organized, detail oriented and reliable.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Experience developing marketing materials and presenting to clients .
  • Self-starter, dependable and with the ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, outgoing personality.
  • Hard working, tenacious, driven to exceed customer expectations.
  • Expertise with Word, Excel, Office 365 and Powerpoint is required. Experience with Salesforce and CET is an asset.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration is salary + commission. The position combines the benefits of both independence and partnership. We will succeed together.
