Reporting to the Clinic Manager for 3A Ambulatory Care the Admin Support III incumbent is responsible for managing the flow of information and providing clerical support to the Rheumatology and RAPPORT staff. As front-line contact, the incumbent is required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must have the ability to coordinate program resources in order to meet the needs of patients and multidisciplinary team members. The incumbent shall demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, initiative and ability to perform in a fast paced high volume environment. Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written required. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team required. The incumbent coordinates referrals and current program patients for RAPPORT assessment and treatment. Schedules patients for appointments and tests. Answers various phone calls that pertain to the clinic. Works with physicians and administrative assistants to obtain scheduled patient information. Extensive experience in the use of computer programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, Netcare, Tandem and eClinician), graphic packages, database management and other associated software functions. Strong eClinician proficiency i.e. workflows and work queues including referral and recall work queues. Strong multi-tasking skills are essential for success in this position. Experience working in a high-volume, rapid paced, time-sensitive organization an asset.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. Required: e-Clinician workflow, scheduling, work queue and referral experience. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Strong eClinician proficiency i.e. workflows and work queues including referral and recall work queues. Strong multi-tasking skills are essential for success in this position.
Successful completion of a recognized course in medical terminology is preferred. Preferred: e-Clinician template building experience. Minimum 2-3 years admin support III in an ambulatory setting experience preferred. Previous Ambulatory Clinic experience is preferred. Extensive experience in the use of computer programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, Netcare, Tandem and eClinician), graphic packages, database management and other associated software functions.
