Administrative Assistant (Legal)

Permanent, full-time position

Legal Administrative Support

  • Open and close legal files, draft confidential letters, memos to file, records of calls, reports, speeches and other documents from electronic, handwritten and Dictaphone copy
  • Organize and filing paper and electronic information
  • Enter information into the database and verifying input
  • Handle, code, and route invoices and related correspondence
  • Assist lawyers with research, case status reports and travel arrangements as required


General Administrative Support

  • Assist with answering incoming telephone calls and emails, assign incoming requests to CNPS lawyers and other staff, and update periodicals
  • Perform other administrative and general office duties as required


  • Legal Administrative Assistant diploma and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using databases or customer management systems and knowledge of medical terminology &/or working with health professionals would be considered assets
  • Bilingual (English/French)
