Who is eHealth Saskatchewan?

eHealth Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation with a unique blend of healthcare, information technology, and citizen services. A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Human Resources Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate is results-driven who effectively partners with the business and across the People and Performance Division to develop and implement sound HR solutions. This position reports directly into the Director, Human Resources and the role will be ideal for a well-rounded Human Resources professional.

You will be great at:
Providing insight into business and HR strategy; and are able to frame issues and bring the right insights and recommendations to discussions and problem solving in order to create effective solutions;
Providing HR expertise and guidance to people leaders in all areas of HR, including recruitment and selection, employee development, performance management, classification and job evaluation, compensation, employee and labour relations, employment law, Occupational Health and Safety, and talent management.
Coaching, consulting and contracting with business leaders and their teams while partnering with your colleagues within the Centres of Excellence across the Division as an extension of the service offering;
Instilling a strong process and HR operational mindset and business partnership into projects and solutions, in order to offer exceptional HR operations service and delivery.

You will bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination;
Over 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience working with a combination of a strong HR generalist and/or specialist background;
A current CPHR professional designation is a definite asset;
Solid consulting and coaching skills with the proven ability to influence and persuade on suggested actions for turning business issues and challenges into viable HR/Business solutions;
Proven experience with employee relations and/or labour relations, and preferably work experience within a unionized environment;
Excellent communicator and a collaborative team player;
Solid interpersonal and relationship skills in order to work effectively with business leaders and their employees;
Exceptional client service orientation while balancing the needs of the corporate priorities;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to get to the root cause of complex issues in order to arrive at sound HR solutions;
The ability to challenge and be candid while maintaining strong relationships demonstrating emotional intelligence, tact, and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality;
Disciplined self-starter who is resourceful and comfortable in prioritizing competing and conflicting demands within a fast-paced environment;
Passionate and committed to continuous improvement in their day to day work environment.
