The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is currently seeking a Project Manager for a full-time contract position. The Project Manager (PM) will report directly to the BrainHealth Databank Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for BrainHealth Databank project administration, and other related projects as assigned. The incumbent will be responsible for assessing, planning and executing strategic projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for working with multiple clinical and executive stakeholders both internal and external to CAMH.
The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager includes hands-on leadership and oversight for the development of work plans, accountabilities and timelines associated with the BrainHealth Databank, and other related projects as assigned. The incumbent will engage with key user groups, establish the work of a number of task groups, and ensure implementation plans are developed and executed in a manner which supports agreed upon timelines and objectives. The Project Manager will be the key contact point between the clinical leadership and key stakeholders/user groups so that issues are identified and solutions are developed and implemented. The successful candidate will lead by influence to ensure deliverables from stakeholders and any project staff is met within project timelines and meet quality requirements. The Project Manager will facilitate working groups and/or inter professional focus groups and develop and deliver project presentations to various stakeholders. The incumbent will collaborate with other project teams as necessary and provide coaching and mentoring to project team members. The Project Manager will also be responsible for project and operational budget impacts from project work. The BrainHealth Databank is a hospital-wide initiative led by the Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics with the following main objectives:
Support the coordination, integration and linking of research with clinical care across the patient journey including longitudinal, standardized multimodal phenotyping measures from wearables, mobile applications, portable technologies and biosamples.
Capture and utilizie this high quality data effectively and efficiently to benefit and improve individual patient outcomes and to optimize standardized care.
Accelerate discovery by providing access to a searchable, rich, integrated common data and knowledge resource that can inform evidence-based care and clinical practice, drive innovation, and promote data-driven exploration.
Hands on work across: Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and close of all of project related activities
Managing stakeholders to ensure that there is agreement to scope, approach, deliverables and budget to achieve overall success of the project
Management of assigned project resources – setting of context, task assignment, setting performance targets and managing performance
Utilizing the CAMH project management methodology to drive project standards, identifying risk and issues, adhering to a formal change process and executing activities that achieve the deliverables as stated in the Project Charters and Scope Statements
Providing leadership to and facilitate meaningful engagement of all stakeholders, including early identification and management of conflicting priorities
Build effective and collaborative relationships with Project Teams,
Budget development and tracking for project and operational work
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
NOTE: The Project Manager will be the key point person for the project and be responsible for hands on development of project deliverables. Candidate will need to be flexible for scheduling and hours will need to be adjusted as per project schedule and deliverables.
Main duties will include:
Development of project approach, plan, and status
Identifying project targets and milestones, and working with the project teams to achieve the milestones
Defining project deliverables, and ensuring that deliverables are completed within the project timeline and meet the quality required
Establishing priorities, coordinating and supporting the project teams members in their roles;
Identifying risks and mitigating strategies
Identifying project issues and working with the team to resolve the issues
Project Reporting both internally and to external project funders.
Working with the leaders of clinical units/outpatient programs at CAMH to coordinate schedules and resources for the purposes of developing and implementing projects
Facilitation of interprofessional focus groups and/or working group sessions
Facilitation of leadership working group sessions
Review processes to ensure that internal controls are appropriate
Develop and deliver project presentations for various stakeholders both internal and external
Developing and implementing/disseminating the communication plan for the project
Synthesize literature and write reports
Oversee the development of training and or ‘marketing’ material if applicable
Co-ordination and collaboration with other CAMH project teams as necessary
Responsible for the immediate supervision for project team members
As a leader in the organization providing coaching and mentoring and performance feedback as necessary to project team members as necessary
Responsible for project and operational budget impacts from project work
Provide project leadership as necessary to projects beyond clinical transformation projects
Possess a university degree, in health care or business field, graduate education preferred
Five years demonstrated progressive and relevant experience in Project Management with increasing complexity and scope
PMP and/or agile PM certification is an asset
Experience successfully managing healthcare informatics projects in a clinical and/or clinical research setting
Experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders
Strong Organization and Planning skills required
Ability to find the best approach or solution to highly diverse challenges.
Strong analytical, organizational, conceptual and decision-making skills are required
Demonstrated flexibility and have the ability to adapt and manage changing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
Please note: Full-time contract position lasting one year is NOT part of any Bargaining unit.
