The Full Circle Mentoring program provides meaningful group mentoring experiences to youth in Wood Buffalo. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and build an understanding of Indigenous culture while creating positive peer and mentoring relationships in an after school programming setting. It is important to note that this program is not only for youth who come from an Indigenous background – it is inclusive to any child that would benefit from a program of this nature.
The program has been active in our region since 2009, and has grown tremendously since then. It runs throughout the Fort McMurray Public, Fort McMurray Catholic and Northlands School District. This is currently the largest Indigenous-mentoring program in Canada, accredited by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. Positions are available in several schools in the Wood Buffalo region.
Compensation: $90.00 a week for each program facilitated (1.5 hours)
