As our Major Gifts and Endowment Officer, you are part of the United Way’s resource development team and lead our major gifts program, building relationships with those who have the potential to give major gifts to both organizations. You have a working knowledge of donor options, including gifts of cash, securities, insurance, bequests, etc. You understand the unique characteristics of endowment funds and can convey these benefits to potential donors. You have strong planning skills and are driven to set targets and establish multi-year fundraising and donor stewardship plans that will allow you to achieve results. You are eager to develop strong, ongoing relationships with local investment advisors, lawyers and business leaders, presenting giving options for their clients. You have a working knowledge of the tax incentives around various gift options and are keen to remain up to date on these incentives. Most importantly, you wish to help donors give to United Way and the Forever Fund in a way that satisfies their needs and provides the most benefit for both the donor and our two charities.
