TBGOC is currently seeking a hardworking, highly skilled, reliable Property maintenance worker who is a resourceful, proactive and organized person to join our team. The Property Maintenance worker position will support the day-to-day property maintenance and acquisitions tasks required for company’s asset management portfolio.



Maintains BPM properties, including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining general upkeep of the properties including amenities, waste management, and general maintenance to ensure satisfaction of our residents;
  • Must be flexible with fluctuation of shift times due to demand of industry
  • Travelling required for all of Ontario properties mostly in the GTA
  • Must meet with VP daily to plan
  • Must Complete Daily Work Log
  • Update Software (CRM) with property status updates & next steps
  • performs drywall duties including framing, boarding, mudding, taping and sanding;
  • Deconstructs areas as necessary for renovation for trades to work
  • Painting Walls exterior/interior and trim
  • Resurfacing
  • Plowing and salting
  • Removal up garbage/recycling/supplies/scrap
  • Completes preventative maintenance inspections, and schedules work orders.
  • supervise and/or liaise with trades people , other contractors and consultants
  • Assists other trades as necessary
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Installation & removal of parts, such as receptacles , switches and light fixtures
  • Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings (i.e. Window frames, fence & post repairs)
  • Install , repairing, adjusting fire-rated heavy duty doors/sliding doors/window meshes
  • Property Interior Maintenance- changing locks, general cleaning, moving furniture
  • Site Inspections for Trade/Worker Visits and access allowance to properties
  • Landscaping maintenance - All year around seasonal maintenance care for all properties exterior and interior
  • Property Site Inspection Visits for seasonal inspections to ensure that sites free of hazards and are in compliance due to safety requirements
  • Showing vacant rental units to potential tenants
  • Co-coordinating Move In/Move Out’s
  • Responsible for 24/7 Maintenance cellphone and to respond to after-hours emergency calls
  • Responsible for seasonal inspections and reports
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • purchase maintenance supplies in line with property budget
  • complete physical inventory counts and maintain all supplies in an inventory system at all storage sites


· Must be willing to work at 45-60 hour work week as required (Lieu Time will be granted)

· Completion of High School Diploma;

· Email Experience Required

· Basic Computer literacy (MS Office and Excel)

· Must have excellent English verbal and writing skills

· Experience operating heavy machinery and lawn equipment

· Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance or related experience

· Training and experience in the safe use of power and hand tools;

· Able to be flexible, self-motivated and take initiative;

· Able to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;

· Able to work and accomplish tasks without direct supervision;

· Able to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively;

· Able to perform physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;

· Able to follow safe work procedures to keep self and others safe while operating various power and hand tools as well as handling hazardous chemicals;

· Able to work in variable environments including dust, warm or cold temperatures, etc.;

· Must provide own tools

· Previous WHMIS training and experience working with hazardous chemicals (Will be considered ASSET)

· Valid G License in good standing with a clean drivers abstract and must own a Pick-up truck or Van (Car Allowance Provided)

· Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs

· Any licenses/certifications will be considered an Asset

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays as required due to peak periods, work order visits or emergencies

Salary: $40,000 - 45,000/Year + Monthly Car Allowance
