The Manager of Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of all Lakeside Produce Inc. marketing, communications, advertising, and public relations strategies. This individual will develop goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute a comprehensive and cohesive marketing campaign for all Lakeside Produce events. She/he will design enhancement and development programs to promote Lakeside Produce and its range of produce commodities both online and off, for both B2B and B2C environments. Some marketing goals include maintaining the brand integrity of Lakeside Produce and strategically positioning Lakeside Produce as a trusted source for knowledge while establishing and ensuring its status as industry leader. She/he is responsible for ensuring consistent and cohesive messaging that speaks to the Lakeside Produce community at large.
Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including corporate sales, digital marketing, conventions, advertisements, sales/marketing tools and other initiatives.
Analyse market trends to determine feasibility and profitability of new or existing offerings; make recommendations based on findings.
Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives.
Maximize brand value through the development of ancillary revenue streams and new opportunities.
Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
Fully leverage established and new marketing initiatives with customers
Collaborate with sales, production, and operations personnel to prepare sales forecasts.
Work with designers, writers, editors and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages.
Develop marketing plans within budget requirements.
Collaborate with both inside and outside sales representatives to identify customer needs.
Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
Design and attend relevant trade show and convention appearances in order to build relationships and promote the organization’s initiatives.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
Evaluate marketing processes, procedures, and software requirements and make recommendations to continually improve departmental efficiency
Ensure the ongoing maintenance of Lakeside’s online presence through all owned and earned channels
3 – 5 years’ experience with a Master’s Degree OR 5 – 7 years’ experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 7+ years’ relative experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods company, preferably in both customer management and marketing roles
Direct experience with graphic design, Web page, and other marketing-related software tools
High-level Interpersonal skills (Building & Maintaining Relationships)
