Blue J Legal is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team, directly reporting to the VP Sales and Customer Success. In this role, you will be a part of a supportive and ambitious sales team; gain fantastic experience and learn from some of the best in the industry, having the chance to drive impact from day one while helping Blue J Legal in its worthy mission to make the law more transparent and accessible.
Role Specifications
Responsible for prospecting, booking appointments and creating Sales Qualified Opportunities
Conduct cold calls and follow-up calls to prospects
Generate Sales Qualified Opportunities by booking appointments
Identify key decision makers
Build and maintain a solid relationship with prospective customers
Educate prospects on new releases, products and upcoming events

Post-secondary education required
Interest and/or experience in the software industry and B2B Sales
Hands-on experience in an inside sales/demand generation role strongly preferred
Who You Are
Canadian citizenship or be authorized to work in Canada (required)
Minimum 1 year of outbound business-to-business telephone marketing or sales experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process
Ability to be assertive and persuasive while maintaining diplomacy and tact
Detail-orientation and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple-tasks simultaneously
The capacity to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
An insatiable desire to learn and the ability to adapt to changing routines and software
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Windows, as well as strong typing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Active listening skills
A quick study, self-driven and reliable
