Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Day-to-Day, Retail Deposits & ADS Team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Contribute to senior Management decisions on various pricing levers across the suite of products in Chequing, Savings, and Term deposits for both the Retail and Advisor Deposit Channels.
Develop and make recommendations on pricing and portfolio changes to products within Day to Day Banking, Retail Deposits and Advisor Deposit Services
Lead projects on Pricing Optimisation involving third party experts and the Canadian Bank Analytics teams
Develop sensitivity testing for Bank of Canada rate changes, competitive scenarios and new product launches or product closures.
Coordinate pricing changes within the Retail and ADS channels with our partners in acquisition, Decision Sciences, IT, Digital Factory.
Execute the approved pricing changes across the Retail products and Advisor Deposit Services in a timely manner to ensure no negative customer experiences, adverse impact to our P&L, or regulatory breaches
Coordinate the time sensitive changes across multiple stakeholders ensure various platforms are updated accurately and in advance of deadlines
Raise awareness with various partners within Retail Banking of the proposed changes to ensure their testing, & changes are in place to support same
Contribute to the business planning process for Day to Day, Retail Deposits, Advisor Deposit Services, with in-depth knowledge of the portfolio, industry trends and economic factors.
Develop and distribute business line metrics to Customer Experience & Distribution to assist the retail branch network and ADS in achieving business goals.
Contribute to senior management decisions by developing timely and actionable analysis of financial and non-financial results and trends.
Develop and apply financial models to measure the performance of the business.
Manage the analysis and interpretation of the portfolio, market trends, and competitive activity to develop the direction of the Day to Day, Retail Deposits and Advisor Deposit Services business.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience / Other Information

Ability to manage multiple priorities in order to achieve objectives and must be combined with a high degree of financial knowledge and modeling in order to meet deadlines
Familiarity with financial modelling and technical skills
Degree (business/marketing related), or product management/relevant field experience
Expert knowledge of deposit products and channels
